I know the first day of spring was officially only a few days ago, but I'm already daydreaming of summer. One of my life long favorite summer treats is ice cream floats. Growing up, we made them with rootbeer and cola, but these days, I like to experiment. A couple of summers ago we decided to try to make a tiramisu version, and if it's not heaven in a glass, I don't know what it is y'all. So, so good.
Tiramisu Ice Cream Float
makes 1 serving
2 scoops Tiramisu ice cream
1/2 cup coffee, chilled
1-1/2 cup cream soda, chilled
whipped cream
cookie or wafer for garnish
Place Tiramisu ice cream in a glass. Pour coffee and cream soda over ice cream. Top with whipped cream and garnish with a cookie or wafer. (You can also make a caffeine-free version without coffee and with a cake ice cream for the littles ones, which technically isn't tiramisu at all, but it's still freaking delicious.)
Anybody else ready for ice cream float season?
